To see and be seen go to the Bar Bep (Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal 260), which looks like a'50s cabaret Europe, with red walls and many sofas in olive green vinyl. But the oldest and still the elegant Café Américain (Leidseplein 30), the great interior art nouveau, stained glass, frescoes, huge chandeliers.
